A former Queensland police officer who died following a bomb
blast in Iraq last week has been farewelled today at a funeral
Brendan Hurst was working as a contractor training local
police officers when he was killed.
Police from around the state were among the mourners who
packed St Patrick's Cathedral for the funeral this afternoon.
Mark Hurst told the congregation his brother was a caring
man who was the life of the party wherever he went.
The 38-year-old was described as a man who dared to be an
